Food for thought

Hi guys!

Haha... its been a long long time since i last blogged. Anyway i just want to share something that really blessed me.

Last week during EOGM, Pastor was talking to us about having a discipler in our lives. A discipler is like our spiritual father, someone that guides us and corrects us. Everyone needs a discipler; if Pastor Kong himself is discipled, how much more we? My question to you today is, who is your discipler?

Many people told Pastor Kong that their discipler is Benny Hinn, Billy Graham etc. But none of them have a personal relationship with these people. They only READ all their material etc. However, reading someone's notes/books etc doesnt make one your discipler. Pastor shared some things to check whether someone is your discipler. If reading etc is enough, then why do we still go to church? Why dont we go watch online service all the time? It is because there will be minimal impartation. Elisha was around Elijah all the time. Jesus twelve disciples, especially His closest three were always with him. It is through relationship that impartation flows.

1) Does this person pray with you individually? If a person doesnt pray with you, he cannot be your mentor. Prayer builds intimacy.

2) Has this person shared a Word of Revelation with you in private?

3) Do you physically serve together in ministry?

If the answer to the above question is "no", may i suggest to you that you could be spiritually "fatherless"; you will never be able to grow and to breakthrough in your spiritual life. Let's really not be complacent in our spiritual lives. Find yourself a discipler today!
